Drummer Seeking Singer & Guitar Player for Gigging Band

Meets

611 S Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater FL

Description

I am a seasoned professional drummer recently relocated to Clearwater (08.21). I am seeking 2 band members AND a Sound Engineer (with gear preferably) to form a working 3pc party band to play an average of 2 weekends a month...3 weekends if bookings permit. What is the gig? 3pc party band with a full-time sound engineer who is treated like a part of the band. The band will play to a click and backing tracks to make up the "missing" instruments. ALL backing tracks are club ready and split between left and right audio side providing the click track in one ear and backing track in another. The band will play 3 sets a night on average consisting of up to 40 songs (depending upon gig). In a perfect world, the band will be working Friday/Saturday Night. Yes you will be giving up your personal party night, but as the "party-bringers" the band should be the reason people are in the venue. Moving forward, I'd like to add a bass player (removing that backing track) and thus earn more money for all of us. What type of music? Ideally...whatever packs the floor. I have a variety of songs (with backing tracks) in my library that range from Justin Timberlake, Cake, Stevie Wonder, Gnarles Barkley, Pitbull, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Le Chic, The Gap Band, No Doubt, Maroon 5, Journey and many more to come. I am building more backing tracks to include a variety of other top charting songs/genres to provide more variety than most bands offer. Who is behind you? Me, the Drummer...a seasoned professional drummer (and competitive cyclist) with pro-gear, in-ear monitoring & backing track rig with applicable software, personal transportation, NON-Drug User and NON-Smoker. Prior to relocating to Clearwater, I played an average of 6 nights a week with 4 "installation" gigs per week. Here is my ReverbNation Page: www.reverbnation.com/rogernottestad to check out. Several "on-spec" recordings, some personal material I am proud of and some random bar gig recordings of a cover band I sat in with a few years ago (rough at best...but there they are). Singer (Desperately seeking Adam Levine, Dierks Bentley or Justin Timberlake) Requirements: You MUST be able to carry the front of a band with YOUR energy. You are the frontman and as such you MUST be able to entertain the crowd. You MUST be able to sing your a** off, because in a 3pc band, there is NOT much room to hide. You MUST be able to practice on your own and be prepared for rehearsals and gigs. If you don't want to put the time in, I don't want to waste your time. Guitar/Keyboard Player (Desperately seeking Nick Rhodes or Steve Stevens) Requirements: You MUST be able to carry the front of a band with YOUR energy. You are the 2nd frontman and as such you MUST be able to entertain the crowd. As the lead guitarist, you must be able to play your a** off because there are no other guitar players to base your work on EXCEPT the backing tracks. You MUST be able to practice on your own and be prepared for rehearsals and gigs. If you don't want to put the time in, I don't want to waste your time. Sound Engineer Requirements: YOU are the primary reason this band will sound BETTER than any other band on stage. YES, the band MUST put in its work, but YOU are what the audience hears. You will be treated as part of the band and when the band is booked, so are you. You will receive equal pay as a member of the band and will be treated with the same respect as the band as you deserve. IF you have your own gear and don't have to rent it, that would be fantastic. Some venues will have PA gear, but IF there is a possibility of always sounding good and using your gear, that would be ideal. IF you have a monitoring rig (or a multi-purpose board, ie X32, SoundCraft or Allen & Heath) that would be marvelous. IF ANY of this sounds intriguing to you, please reach out and let's chat. You can contact me at 9ONE8.261.1380 or email me directly from CL. IF you call and I don't recognize the number, I may not answer as I may be tied up. I look forward to meeting you and putting together a band that has as much fun together making music as it does playing it for the people to enjoy. Roger N.
