One-hour guided tour of the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum, a Pejepscot History Center Museum, located at 226 Maine Street, Brunswick, Maine. Befitting the intriguing family that inhabited it, the Chamberlain House has many interesting stories to tell. For more than 50 years, this building was home to Joshua L. Chamberlain. Just like the man himself, the house went through incredible transformations during its life, gaining fame and witnessing major historic events. It has been in operation since 1984, after the Pejepscot History Center (then Pejepscot Historical Society) purchased it in 1983, saving it from demolition. The house open from Memorial Day through October, with guided tours provided by knowledgeable docents with a passion for history they love to share.
