Tortilla Soup is going to bring down the house at Charley's Bar LG!! Founder, Robert Payne has been in many bands focused on one genre of music. He has always had the desire to create a band with great musicians that play a variety of music...that's Tortilla Soup. When coming up with a band name the word "Soup" was put into the name first because of the variety of music the band wanted to play (a mixture...like soup). Then with a large majority of its original members being Hispanic they came up with the word, "Tortilla" therein TORTILLA SOUP !! Tortilla Soup definitely adds its own mixture of ingredients to create its own flavor of music. From Pop, R&B, Latin, Country, Blues and more Tortilla Soup plays it all! Not limiting themselves in the type of music they will play makes for a exciting performance. It is what they bring to the stage that creates the special sound of Tortilla Soup. Sure to bring you to your feet! They are a family of great musicians with a passion for music. "Music is not what we do... It is who we are!" Their passion carries on to their fans who they value and embrace. Charley’s Bar LG (previously Mountain Charley’s) in Los Gatos, is under new management (as of May) with new, friendly staff, no service charge, great prices, yummy cocktails and a huge, wooden dance floor!
