Far beyond a other college prep courses, this is a practical tool that breaks down the factors contributing to a diminished mental state in college students. College-aged students currently face a rapid increase in suicide coupled with isolation, depression, and a barrage of classes. This workshop seeks to highlight and provide easy-to-implement skills and tools that create mental fortitude for college. The constructs presented benefit students and parents, teachers, counselors, and any community leader looking to guide college students. About The Instructor Dr. Alexander is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor boasting over 20 years of expertise in her field. She owns and operates a notable private group mental health practice, is a teacher, and is recognized for her commitment to her work with minorities to dispel stigmas associated with mental health. Students attend dozens of classes, workshops and seminars about preparing for college leading them to believe that following a set number of steps will help them move through their experience seamlessly. Nevertheless, the incident of suicide, paralysis by analysis, and isolation continue to increase among college aged students.
