Wow....We can't believe this is already our 4th straight year of hosting the Illinois Kubb Championship. If you are looking to have a lot of fun in a competitive environment, this is the tournament for you. We are looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces we have seen previously, and having a lot more new Kubb players show up this year. Our venue can handle an unlimited number of teams. We are most known for good times, great competition, awesome food, ca$h payouts, cool trophies, Friday night social, Saturday night after-party, and perfect playing conditions(fingers crossed). We are having brand new kubb sets made for this event. We are also creating what will probably be the coolest permanent trophy in the world, which will have the names of all our previous winners on it. We have a couple important rule changes this year ! It will require you to select a partner that can demonstrate all of the important Kubb skills, instead of specializing. Rule Change #1 : For each team, the same player cannot inkast in consecutive rounds. Rule Change #2 : The player that does the inkasting for that round, must throw the first blast at the field kubbs. I think Rule #2 is pretty obvious, but let me explain more about Rule #1 : Let's say you have a 3-person team. During your game, it is time for someone to perform the first round of inkasting. You can select any person on your team to inkast all of the kubbs. Ok...now it is time for your team to do your 2nd round of inkasting. Hang on a second, you need to select someone else on your team to inkast all of your kubbs for the this round. For your third round of inkasting, you can go back to the inkaster who did this in the first round, or you can have your 3rd partner do this job. Got it ? I knew you would, because it's easy !!! Just don't have the same person inkast all of the kubbs in consecutive rounds. We will explain more at the tournament. Lunch can be purchased for $10 at the event(taco bar+drink). If you want a tournament shirt, you must order and pay George $20 ahead of time(prefer Zelle or Apple Pay). There will also be raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing. The Friday night social will start @ 6 pm at SideCar Supper Club in Batavia. The Saturday night after-party(Free Pizza !) will be at Scott & George's house(Appleton Drive-Batavia) immediately following the tourney.
