This inclusive course pairs the standalone NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting class with the Illinois Concealed Carry class. With the completion of this course you will receive an Illinois Concealed Carry Firearm Training Certificate which is required to obtain your Illinois Concealed Carry License (CCL) from the State Of Illinois as well as a NRA Certificate for Basics of Pistol Shooting. The course objectives are to learn basic knowledge, skill and attitude necessary to become a safe and responsible gun owner.
Time
• Saturday- 9:30AM-5:30PM - NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Classroom Portion
• Sunday- 8:00AM-4:00PM - Range Qualification followed by IL Law Classroom Portion
Location
• Classroom- 3445 Court St, Pekin, IL 61554 (Inside the Hampton Inn Meeting Rooms)
• Range- Guardian Training Private Outdoor Range(Location given at class)
What to bring to class
• FOID
• We provide all that is required for the classroom (course materials, student materials, lunch, refreshments, etc.)
• Firearm and range supplies are not needed on your first day of class.
What to bring to the range
• Properly maintained pistol in good working order
• 50 rounds factory loaded ammunition required for qualification, extra ammo is recommended for warm up
• Eye & ear protection
• Please wear appropriate range clothing and closed toe shoes.
• Firearm required for range qualification on second day of class
Live fire qualification will be completed from a distance of 5, 7, and 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the Illinois State Police.
Payment for the course is due at the start of the course, if you have not already paid. We accept cash and credit/ debit cards.
