Gigging reggae rock project looking for musicians to jam and potentially gig with. We are currently a 3 piece (gtr/bass/drums) but are looking to possibly expand with keys, additional percussion, saxophone etc. It's nice to have additional drummers/bassists to call in a pinch as well. We perform as solo/duo/trio. We play a combination of covers and originals, but the goal is to eventually only play originals. We are by no means a "tribute" or "cover band". We have our own distinct style, even when playing covers. Bass/Drum parts are already written for a few of the originals, but tasteful improvisation is encouraged. Musicians with experience playing reggae would be ideal, but not ruling anyone out. We are planning on being a part of multiple festivals and tours in the next few years, but for now the goal is to perform as often as we can around Virginia and build a solid fanbase while releasing originals and performing creative covers. We already have several shows booked for the end of summer and fall. We all have jobs and side music projects, while also playing professionally in Righteous Roots. We like to have fun, but we do take it serious and have high aspirations for this project.
