IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Our client is searching for 10 to 15 Maintenance Mechanics to work within their facilities located on Long Island in Suffolk County, NY. Please note that they do 80% of their promoting from within, so positions could lead to Management, etc. These roles are for a 35 hour work-week. Qualifications:  Must possess a skill in one of the following trades: carpenter, plumbing, electrical, painting and/or landscaping  Must have a NYS drivers license and be approved to drive company vehicles Responsibilities:  Maintain buildings and homes in a professional and safe manner  Complete work orders and job assignments in a timely and professional manner  Interact appropriately and politely with all staff and clients  Offer suggestions on how best to maintain buildings and homes  Identify and repair all potential safety, maintenance or citation issues  Keep appropriate records and receipts  On call 24-7 for all agency emergencies  Must be available for snow and ice removal  Must be flexible to stay late, or come in early or work weekends for projects or agency events as assigned  Must be willing to perform all aspects of work in the Maintenance Dept. on an “as needed” basis (mop calls, landscaping, painting, cleaning, etc.) Essential Requirements:  Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects  Twist/kneel/bend/squat/pull  Stand on minimum 6 ft. ladder  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
