Small concert band for adult beginning and intermediate players is seeking one or more percussionists to join us. No auditions. Have fun playing a variety of band music with a small group of friendly people where your best is always good enough. Ability to read music is most desired but a willingness to learn and strive for progress, not perfection, is all that we require. Multiple low-pressure performances are scheduled throughout the year. Camaraderie guaranteed! Band dues are $5/rehearsal but negotiable depending on circumstances. We rehearse Wednesday afternoons in Noank. Great opportunity for retirees or anyone whose schedule allows for a daytime rehearsal. Although drummers are most urgently sought at this time, all band instruments are welcomed, particularly low brass, low woodwinds, and clarinet. More advanced player? Band mentors are always welcome as well, as some of our players are total beginners. Interested in leading a sectional or offering extra help on a specific instrument? Very much welcomed.
