Description
Do you have a cockatiel or two that just aren’t getting the attention that you think they need anymore? Do you think they might be better off someplace without cats, dogs or small children around?
It has been a few years, but I’ve kept cockatiels most of my life. My first I found outside as kid and every decade or so someone would ask me to take on theirs. All have exceeded the average lifespan and died old. My last guy died about 5 years ago of unknown age - he was an adult when given to me and I had him over 20 years.
With mixed feelings about people breeding animals with the gift of flight for keeping in a house, I am not looking to perpetuate the market for winged, intelligent creatures. But I also know that I’m good at making their lives as nice as possible and doing so brings me joy. I will keep two-three max.
I have the time and the space. I offer a home with a window facing a garden and wild bird feeder. Nice days spent under shelter on the deck. Fresh garden greens every day, and a neighboring cage with three chatty but ancient adopted parakeets (own cage).
Let me know if you have a tiel to rehome.
