Yoga Nidra literally translates to yogic sleep or dynamic sleep. It is a structured practice of consecutively moving through the koshas, which represents each layer or sheath of our being--physical, energetic, emotional, mental, intuitive, and spiritual self. As we know and become aware of each kosha and move onto the next, from gross to subtle, we arrive at the deepest place within ourselves. Some call this our True Self, others call it Brahman.
