She grew up with dirty hands, a love for hard work and functional design. Jodi is an all around handy gal who has her hands in residential and commercial construction, auto mechanics and now fabrication. She just relocated to sunny San Diego in the summer of 2021. After working off and on in construction and wedding cake decorating for the last 8 years, she finally went to school for a Welding and Fabrication Degree in Washington. In Seattle she instructed at the infamous Hazard Factory; a makers’ space akin to Maketory, but much smaller. At the Hazard Factory she ignited her passion teaching MIG, Stick, oxy-fuel and TIG welding for two years. Jodi is very excited to enhance the metal shop here at Maketory with her unique experience.
