UNPOP Short Film Fest is a response to a lack. UNPOP is an attempt to find a form and container that localizes the local. It seems that too much talent and energy is left to atrophy as it fails to find a home due to outsider aesthetics. Similarly, much creative talent and energy dissipates as it launches to the internet like a rocket fired in to space. This open submission format fest has invited San Diego underground movie makers to submit short films for consideration from April through July 20. On August 20, this chaotic curatorial process will unvail its final assemblage at, the debut event of media collective Perfect Healthy, UNPOP Short Film Fest. Admission is $13 and there are 210 tickets available. Currently there is only one screening planned but if demand insists, we will organize further showings. Thanks for supporting UNPOP.
