Description
There's a difference between things you find offensive and things people should not be allowed to say. It is your right to be offended by someone's rant about how people ask for audio/video samples without providing any of their own (a rant I did not write but generally agree with). Flagging that post indicates, not that you find the it offensive, but that you think people should not be allowed to say that kind of thing. Because enough people flagged the post, it was censored and removed.
When we accept censorship, we lose some of our freedom. When we carry out censorship, we take away others' freedom. Before you censor someone else's opinions because you find them offensive, think about how you would feel if your own opinions were censored.
Go ahead, flag this because you find it offensive. Censor my opinion because you don't agree with it. And then, when the day comes that your opinions are censored, remember this day.
This post has been censored 1 time.
Hey, why don't you take a break from flagging and go burn some books?
