Description
Hi! Our family is looking to rehome our Great Dane Duke. He is 6 years old so on the older side. Because of his age he isn’t as active as a younger Great Dane but he does love a good back yard to play in. At this time I am suffering a lot of medical issues that are not fair to duke to give him the attention he needs for the rest of his life, and we only want the best for him. We got him from a previous foster, so we don’t know much about his before life but we do suspect he was possibly abused in his past. Because of this he is a very protective of his family dog. Things like doorbells and door knocks trigger him. He does GREAT with kids and other dogs/cats, but he does need properly introduced to strangers. My heart has been pretty broken about rehoming him but he deserves to live the rest of his life in a happy and attentive home. We do not have hardly any records on duke. He currently eats great and gets a bone and joint supplement. He needs space, so if you have a small home or no yard he is not for you. He is 180 pounds so please don’t inquire unless that is something you can handle. We would be asking a rehoming fee of $100 to insure he goes to a good home.
