Description

It's been a while since I've been in a band, and at this age (50) it's all about having fun. No dreams of being a rock star. Me: singer, good look, nothing too crazy going on in the brainpan, easy to collaborate with. I used to play piano...can easily pick it up for a few songs. My guitar skills are highly questionable. You: - Are a guitarist, drummer, bassist, keyboard fanatic. Pick one. Maybe 2. - 30s+ and beyond (preferably but definitely not a "must") - Easy going, collaborative, no bullshit and you have a real job. - Fairly normal, in an abnormal sort of way. - SENSE OF HUMOR is a must. Not taking yourself too seriously is a must. Extreme political obsession in either direction? Don't bother. - Have your own equipment. - Know your shit. The band: Open to ideas but if there's interest in an 80s angle, it's gotta be fun and colorful. There is no other way to do the 80s. 90s band? We will be channeling Vedder, Staley and Cobain, but probably without the suicidal tendencies. My 80s preferences: - pop/new wave, breakfast-clubby - dig me some hair band on occasion but I'm not a wailer, and I'm more baritone I meets tenor II, so new wave is in my wheelhouse vocally. My 90s prefs: - Grunge I'm based in Toluca lake (Noho/Burbank/Studio City area). Just feeling out the CL to see if there are any like-minded wackjobs like myself. Ping me! BK
