Guitarist Seeking Doom Metal Drummer

Greetings CL. I play guitar and keys among other various stringed instruments, and have played in countless bands in the past, ranging from folk to metal to jazz. I've been on many tours, grinded gigs nightly, and consider myself an experienced musician, though I've chosen to stay mostly in the DIY realm. Since moving to NC, I've felt a lot of the southern sludge vibes floating in the air. I've been listening to a good amount of doom metal, and I think I've settled on this genre for my next project. The main influences I'd like to draw from are Asunder, Corrupted and Earth, namely the latter. Albums to check out if you're not familiar: Asunder - A Clarion Call Corrupted - El Mundo Frio Earth - Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull These artists all share some similarities, in that while they are heavy doom bands, they also have a dynamic range that helps to intensify all aspects of their musical spectrum, with clean melodic parts interlacing the distorted low end riffs. I like this and I'd like to do it too. I also really dig black metal and would be down to draw influences from that as well. I can scream. I have a midi foot controller similar to an organ pedal, so I can play bass with my synth while I'm playing guitar. For this reason, this project would be totally acceptable being a two piece. Bell Witch does this with success, if you're familiar with them. They are fucking mega to experience live. If you like playing drums very slowly in smoke filled swampy rooms, hit me up. I'm also down to join an existing project with similar intention should the opportunity arise. I can play bass and keys too. Let's burn one and talk about it. Best, Cody
