Guitarist in NW Chandler/ Close to Mesa. I have a three piece that is moving slowly. In my downtime I am looking to play a little more than we have been ( 1 or 2 X a month) So I am lookingfor a project and to co write / create. Also seeking specific sound to start and where we go from there is up to bandmates. Covers, country, metal and tribute bands are not my thing but i enjoy listening sometimes. Key bands / labels that will help narrow down the style/sound listed below. I've been out of high school and college a while now, so if age is a problem there are plenty other to jam with I generally don't share recordings but I have some rough demos that may be nothing like what the actual project will sound like Ultimately I'd like to play gigs and make a professional single / EP/ or album. options - Early revelation records. Black Flag. Govt. Issue, early Dischord (nothing recorded in this vein yet) Killing Joke, Wax Trax records with more guitar driven riffs. or or Dreamy indie rock. simple chords, melody, effect heavy but playing like life depends on it, once we are rehearsed ( have some samples ready to go). Think DIIV, Early Teenage Fanclub, MBV, RIDE, Slowdive, + more Other possibilities, Some experimental, noise, dub, hybrid electronic, grooves, and simple droning prog/ambient or garage inspired rock is do - able, Looking for people that can keep time, have similar goals, can be on time, communicate. If you live more than 20 miles from Center of the valley it is my hope we are on the same page. Hoping to know 1) Location 2) Goals 3) Do you have a place to play ? 4) Availabilty ? 5) Main instrument (s) ? No producers or existing bands, have had bad luck with such. There is a remote chance I'd join a project if it were fun but I am hopeful to co create something and learn a bunch of existing material My goal is play shows ( did a few - was a blast ) - make a demo in various formats.
