Higginsville MO

Description

Higgensville Missouri a "hun-dred re couching" to loving home. We have an approximately 1.5-2 year old Great Pyrenees (possibly mixed with Anatolian). We took him in after it was witnessed he was push out of two different vehicles in the same day. Very shy and neglected. He had bark, training, or wireless fence collar prong wounds that were infected on his neck. His undercoat was very neglected. His ears were leaking puss and blood from internal infection. He had missing patches of hair and his coat was yeasty. He was loaded with hook worms. He was very under weight. In the time we have had him, we got him vaccinated, wormed, medicated, brushed and blown out and ultimately needed to shave as to heal his skin issues. He has a gentle, longing for love personality but it is packed behind some great trauma fear and insecurities. He has made great strides forward since being here but he needs more. I was hesitant to even post this as I don't want to see him go through any more than he has to but this is not the permanent place for him. He is not microchipped but a search was done to attempt to locate a possible original family but no one ever came forward. We really didn't have the extra money to put into him but he needed it. Unless it is to a licensed and local rescue, an adoption fee will be required. He must go to a solo dog or female dog only home. He does not bother our rabbits, cats, birds, or poultry. When we get him in the house, he LOVES the security of a large crate even though we leave the door open. He loves us to go to him and give him none stop love and once he trusted us, he come to us (slowly) to receive more. He accepts everything we want him to do but he has to be coached and nudged into doing it before he feels comfortable with it. He does good in a vehicle now that he knows it isn't a bad thing but we sometimes still have to aid him in. If I think of more, I will let you know. Thank you..
