Seasoned vocalist/guitarist looking to form a Cars cover band. I've done this for a few benefit events and has gone over well. I'm told I sound pretty close to both Ocasek and Benjamin Orr but would also like someone else to help sing a few. Looking now to use my gig connections to form one that plays out a little more. Not on a heavy level but doing certain events with other tributes and a handful of local spots. Willing to work along with everyone's scheduling, so if in another band we can coordinate it. Have a possible bassist and drummer and looking to add the much needed keys and lead guitarist. A good handful off the first two albums for sure. Age and looks don't matter but please wanna dress like the 80's when gigging! (I miss that new wave look!) ;) Just weighing options as I have been told by a good few working musicians I should give it a whirl. I've fronted a few bands and played many Triangle spots. Please know, not looking to cover this stuff "note for note". I saw The Cars three times and they didn't even cover them "note for note". Wanna have fun and enjoy life as always.
