Appliance Help With My GE Monogram Side By Side Refrigerator Freezer

Looking for a solution to my GE monogram side-by-side refrigerator freezer. Here's the problem, the refrigerator and the freezer temperature is not stable. It seems like the compressor is getting hot in raising the temperature in the refrigerator in the freezer compartment. Then after a short while it'll go back to the normal temperature. I'm wondering, if it just needs some Freon or refrigerant. I'm looking for someone who knows if this could be the solution. I've replaced the control board everything is new. I had an appliance repair guy come out and he said there was nothing wrong with the unit. However, he never hooked up and tested the level of refrigerant. Let me know if you can help.
