Job Description: Supports sweeper vehicle operator in maintaining appearance of parking lots and structures, including manual labor associated with removal of debris from areas that are inaccessible via sweeper vehicle, the use of gas and electric blowers, waste bin collection, assisting when extra drivers are needed and other duties as assigned. This is a support position focused on maintaining cleanliness and appearance of commercial and private properties in the Greater Los Angeles area. II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. • Identify best practices that assist sweeper operator with parking area maintenance. • Perform labor intensive activities such as emptying and refreshing waste bins, walking perimeters of lots and structures while operating equipment. • Operates several types of equipment including, but not limited to, gas and electric backpack blowers, broom and dust pan, and sweeper vehicle. • Wears required personal protective equipment including reflective vest, gloves, and masks. (PPE will be provided) Participates and cooperates in job training process, including following instructions and guidance of supervisor, and adhering to the 90-day probationary period. • Always strive to complete route safely and efficiently, while following company policies. • Immediately reports any obstructions, unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries or property damage to supervisor.   Shift Schedule: - Full Time - Sunday - Thursday - Third shift (overnight) - Shift begins nightly at 7pm and concludes upon completion of work (typically between 2am-5am).   Training: Hired Operators will begin with a 4-week, hands on, paid training period to get familiarized with the nightly operations of their position. By the end of the training, you should have developed basic skills needed to operate the equipment safely and efficiently. Training period may be extended based on your progress at the conclusion of the 4 weeks.   Job Requirements: - Must be 21+ years of age to meet insurance requirements - Must be able to provide a clean DMV record within the last 2 years. - Provide two professional references of previous employment (References will be contacted). - Must be in good physical condition, and able to lift at least 50lbs. - Must be a self-starter, a team player, willing to learn and have a good attitude. - Experience in operating a backpack blower (gardener or landscape technician) is a preferred, but not required.
