The irresponsible gun owners are always spewing the lie that the "lefties" want to confiscate ALL guns. What actually is wanted is to confiscate quasi-military assault weapons. These guns are FAR too powerful for any legitimate hunting or self-protection purpose. They are designed to kill PEOPLE in the most violent and efficient manner possible.
Then the defenders will fall back on the totally bogus "slippery slope" falsehood. Please name one person who has proposed confiscating ALL guns. SOME guns have a legitimate purpose. I have no interest in taking away anyone's guns that are properly used.

The best people to monitor irresponsible gun owners are the RESPONSIBLE gun owners. That was the ORIGINAL mission of the NRA which has devolved into nothing more than lobbyists for the gun industry.
