You do have the right to your opinion, all Americans do because our constitution gives us that right, if the Federal government used your reasoning to gain legislation to remove any one type of weapon, if they were successful, that same reasoning could be used again and again, one type of weapon after another until law biding citizens would no longer have a way to defend themselves, but of course, all criminals would still have any type of weapons they need to accomplish their goals, this issue has nothing to do with liberal or conservative values, it has everything to do with dealing with the nut cases that pick up a weapon and in their deranged mental state kill their fellow Americans, and they are delt with by getting them help or removing them from society before they commit these brutal murders, even if guns were done away with, these same crazy people will find another way to kill if they are not delt first, and if they are delt with first, guns become a non issue.
