So what your saying is that because of Trumps change in policy of Rolling back fuel mpg is why we are partly in the situation that we are. 10mpg difference News flash Trump in office 2016 His fuel policy shortly after. Affected cars built fall 2018 to 2020/spring 2021. Do the math 3 1/2 years of cars built. How many people have a car within this time line ? Do you really think it Affected the gas prices? How's about the fact that the oil companies have been for years buying up all the Patons and designs for fuel economy systems. How about looking into that. They don't want you to get 100 mpg. We could it's been done ! But the industry would sue saying that you were infringing on there Paton or bury you in legal fees. (Wish the President (whomever) could override there claims). Also remember even though people were freaking out about covid Trump knew that we needed to try to keep as many businesses open to overt what were seeing now even though at the time the crying and bitching about why o God why Trump why don't we shut down your a loony. It's like a ship sitting in water. To get it moving it takes a lot of energy but once it's up to speed it will use less energy. Remember he's a businessman. Yes he tried to keep the US afloat. I'm no big fan of Trump but for people to rail on him for that issue I say thank you sir for trying. I get Biden trying to move us forward into a green state of being but he did it in a way that was abrupt and caused an uproar being that we are nowhere near to green as we would like to be. He needed to be more Suttle in our transition as to not through our economy into an upheaval. You don't step on the snakes tail (oil industry) and then ask it a favor without getting bit. Sorry Biden business 101. Pick your poison. Common sense...
