Meet COKE, a 10-12 y/o Chihuahua currently in foster care. This adorable lady has been living with her foster family (including 2 other Chihuahuas) for about a month. She gets along very well with other small dogs, but she LOVES people. She will always want to be where you are. We don’t know what Coke’s upbringing was, but we’ve been teaching her to take treats gently, to lie down on her bed, and how to go for a walk on a leash. She is a real love who wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with you. She does have a bit of separation anxiety. We can go to dinner and leave her in a dog pen for a couple hours, but she will do best in a home where people are usually around. COKE is available for adoption through Border Tails Rescue ) at 2975 Milwaukee Ave. in Northbrook. They have scheduled her to be spayed on August 18, but she can be adopted now through their foster-to-adopt program.
