I have a 2 year old male cat that I recently adopted a little over a month ago, but unfortunately it is not working out because my two female cats do not like him. They constantly fight, hiss, and scratch him at him every time he comes near them or even when he tries to hang out with the family downstairs. They have become very territorial and have basically limited him to the upstairs only. They even fight over the food bowls even though they have each have their own bowls. It’s stressful seeing how uncomfortable they are with each other. He is an extremely sweet, relaxed, and calm cat. I don’t believe he prefers the company of dogs or children but he doesn’t show aggression near them. I have considered surrendering him but he has been surrendered 2 times already due to previous owners moving off island. When we adopted him he was really stressed out, shedding like crazy, a little snappy and I would hate for him to go through that again. I’m hoping if he can find another loving home where he can just relax and enjoy himself then the transition to a new home will be less stressful! Please let me know if you are interested he is a beautiful cat. Very very loving it hurts to be giving him away like this but I’ve had my female cats for almost 2 years so I am extremely attached and can’t imagine parting with them for anything in the world. I just want them to feel comfortable in their home again.
