Contemporary art gallery seeking an experienced Art Handler for physically active position. Responsibilities include:  Shipping and receiving of paintings and sculpture, crate building  Installation, lighting and dismantling of gallery exhibitions  Safe storage and organization of artwork when not on display  Accompanying art consultants to client homes for presentations and installations  Maintenance and physical upkeep of gallery  Hours: Tuesday - Friday: 11am-6pm. (May substitute Saturday for a weekday)  Will provide training to the right candidate Qualifications:  Minimum 2 years gallery, museum or related experience handling artwork  Must be able to safely lift heavy artwork and crates (up to 50lbs – this is NON-negotiable!)  Must be very detail oriented, highly organized, able to take direction well and multi-task.  The ideal candidate is dependable, responsible, has good problem-solving skills, professional appearance, and a sensitivity to handling high-value, delicate items safely.  Experience with carpentry and power tools required for building crates; basic math for installing artwork.  Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Car not necessary.  Covid 19 vaccinations required.
