We believe that access to beautiful public space is a basic human right. Placemaking builds connections, creates civic engagement, and empowers citizens, and the arts are a crucial component of placemaking. - Cultural Plan, 2020
Join us for a half-day conference designed to facilitate a network of civic and cultural leaders, public officials, creatives, and neighborhood champions to work together in new ways. Hosted by Kenmore Neighborhood Alliance and facilitated by Joel Ratner and ArtsNow, participants will learn from content experts and each other as we explore how creative placemaking can improve our communities.
The conference will begin at 8:30am at First Glance, but break-out sessions will occur in Kenmore Blvd venues and hot spots.
This event is made possible thanks to the support of the City of Akron and GAR Foundation.
Scholarships are available for those unable to pay the registeration price of $35. Please reach out to Dara Harper at [email protected] to put in a request for funding.
