Description
Legal Hospice of Texas is a Dallas-based nonprofit established in 1989 to provide timely and compassionate legal services to low-income persons diagnosed with a terminal illness or HIV. Each year Legal Hospice of Texas assists over 700 North Texans free of charge. For more information on the Legal Hospice of Texas' services, please visit our website at www.legalhospice.org. Legal Hospice of Texas is happy to announce that after a long pause, it’s time to Press Play—Fashion Cited is back and presented by Le Métier de Beauté! Guests will each receive a Le Métier de Beauté gift bag for attending the show that is valued at $450. We are also thrilled to announce this year’s Honorary Chair is Kellie Rasberry with on-air personality Amy Vanderoef as the mistress of ceremonies! This year’s show will be at the Empire Room with drinks and bites provided and offers an opportunity to dress up and network with attorneys, judges, and fashion influencers! Fashion Cited is an annual, locally produced charity fashion show featuring up and coming Dallas clothiers and designers. Held every year, Fashion Cited is one of Dallas’ premier fashion events. Proceeds from each event benefits Legal Hospice of Texas’s mission and helps expand our footprint in North Texas to serve more clients. Francisco Flores is a local fashion designer and menswear expert with over 20 years' experience in the fashion industry. He launched Fashion Cited in the summer of 2006 and has since produced the show every year. The event was his way of giving back to LHT for “giving him his life back.” Francisco Flores and his husband, Jeff Cook, leaned on Legal Hospice when Jeff’s former employer wrongfully stopped his disability benefits. With LHT’s advocacy, Jeff regained his benefits, including back payments for lost wages. Each year this event continues to grow with local designers and the community at large. It is Legal Hospice of Texas’s privilege to be associated with Francisco Flores, and the unique events he launched—Fashion Cited and its kickoff Little Black Dress party. We thank him for his tireless efforts. Jeff and Francisco’s story illustrates how LHT strives to improve the lives of its clients.
