Description
The workshop will give participants a look at a small school low-water use garden, which can lead to bigger projects that enhance home landscapes while conserving water. Participants will create a dish garden to take home. Entrance to the Urban Garden Center (UGC) is limited to registered guests only. The workshop will be held in the classroom. Participants are welcome to arrive beginning at 9:00 am to get settled into the classroom before the workshop starts at 9:30 am. For the safety of our guests, the rest of the gardens are closed to self-tours. All guests must sign a UGC consent waiver at the registration area upon arrival. If you are unable to attend your reserved date/time, please cancel your reservation in advance and at least 24 hours prior to your reservation by emailing [email protected]. This will allow others a chance to sign up. UGC Guidelines: No entry will be allowed without guest registration on Eventbrite.Hours of event admittance from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The restrooms will be open during the event hours.Bring drinking water and snacks if desired. Food will not be for sale. Wear appropriate outdoor attire: closed toe shoes and a hat.No pets are allowed (with the exception of guide animals)UGC follows UH COVID-19 policies and requires that face masks be worn in any indoor areas. Face masks are optional outdoors and UH encourages the practice of social distancing and strongly recommends that participants stay home when feeling ill, whether with COVID-19 or other illness, to recover and prevent community spread. If anyone tested positive for COVID-19, they should stay home and isolate for at least 5 days; and face masks must be worn around others in all settings, for the remainder of the 10-day period.
