With the plans for electric vehicles and charging stations you greenies forgot one big thing, the electricity to operate them. Wind farms won't do it, solar farmers either, you never did the math in how much land it will take for wind and solar farms to generate enough electricity or the damage to the environment to set them up in fact if you get what you want our electrical power grid will collapse because no one in the Federal government is planning the electrical infrastructure needed to handle the demand even if there was enough electricity. This is what leftist do, they force their dreams on others without a single thought to all the ramifications. Prove me wrong I dare you to! P.S. Ethanol is a losing proposition, uses grain we need to eat and is terribly inefficient plus damage combustion engines. Like I said you greenies never figures things out. Conservatives can resist them all they want, but they are happening. Auto makers world wide committed to them long before this became a political issue. The research and development began almost 30 years ago. Every auto manufacturer on earth is committed to phasing our combustion engines. Auto makers see the future and have set their sights on alternative fueled vehicles. It's a done deal. If you walk onto any auto dealership lot today, you will find more hybrids and EV's than gasoline powered cars. Does that mean that gasoline will be banned? No. It will be 20 years before the gasoline powered vehicles wear out and are off the road. But it does mean that A. gasoline will get more and more expensive regardless who is in office. B. Gas stations will become more scarce as time goes by. Gasoline will become less convenient and more costly every month moving forward. NO politician from either side is going to change this. All of the major oil companies have already started converting oil refineries series to alternative fuel (ethanol) plants. This was a done deal long beef anyone started arguing on CL about it. So save your breath. Embrace a cleaner future.
