The story of Central High School’s undefeated 1969-1971 basketball seasons mirrors the story of South Providence as a neighborhood—a vibrant community that has continued to thrive despite any odds. Co-curated by alumni, family, and friends of legendary Central athletes, community activists, and the RI State Archives, "Undefeated" includes maps, memorabilia, photographs, and documents that highlight the excitement, hope, hard work, and love for an ever evolving neighborhood. Join Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea and the Rhode Island State Archives staff for a reception on July 26 from 6-7:30 unveiling this exhibit. Email [email protected] with questions you may have.
