WORCESTER, MA — An apartment building along Mill Street in Worcester partially collapsed Friday morning, but no residents were injured, according to the fire department. The incident happened at 267 Mill St. when a portion of the roof and several balconies caved in. The collapse caused some construction equipment to fall down the side of the building, according to images from the scene. The fire department told Spectrum News that the entire building had been evacuated, with no injuries reported. According to city records, the property owner, Franklin-based 267 Mill St. LLC, pulled permits in late June to rehabilitate the building. The permit allows the owner to replace windows and sliding doors, the entire roof and to reinforce 18 balconies, according to records. The Mill Street building was built in 1989 and contains 32 units, according to city records.
