We are looking to hire a full time, year round farm hand. Job Responsibilities: • Oversee grow out of the meat chickens and turkeys through the lifecycle, which includes, but is not limited to: brooding, transitioning into field, gathering for slaughtering and slaughtering • General farm maintenance and labor • Deliveries of orders to customers as needed (utilizing company truck/van) • Delivering to farmers markets as needed (utilizing company truck/van) • Transportation of chickens to/from slaughterhouses as needed (utilizing company truck/van) POTENTIAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - Posses a Class C drivers license with no prior DUI/DWI or suspended license - Must speak English - Be able to lift minimum of 50lbs - Be able to work outside for extended hours - Be comfortable with on premise harvesting of animals - Direct or assist with the adjustment or repair of farm equipment or machinery. - General carpentry skills - Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all work areas. Compensation: This is an hourly position for 40 hours per week, plus annual production bonus. The work schedule is Sunday-Thursday with hours varying by season.
