Established local landscape maintenance company now hiring for a lawn maintenance worker for the 2022 season (July - November). No experience is necessary, we'll provide the training! Laid back environment, frequent breaks and small lawns all in the city. We're looking for someone to run a fully self propelled wide mower (don't worry, it's not pushing a small one) and enjoy working outside during a beautiful summer and fall. We don't do construction or irrigation, only maintenance. Don't worry if you have limited time availability due to other jobs or school, we're flexible with that. More than anything, a good positive attitude is what we're looking for. Details below: Responsibilities Loading and unloading tools and equipment on sites, primarily operating a mower with occasional shoveling, raking leaves, pine needles and yard debris and lifting / loading of green waste materials. Depending on prior experience (or as training on the job progresses) responsibilities may also include edging and plant trimming. Safety is important, so you will never be asked to do anything you aren't completely comfortable with or trained and qualified to do. We do not do construction, irrigation or anything outside the scope of maintenance on small lots in the city. Requirements The worker must be a minimum of 18 years old, be able and authorized to work legally in the United States, have an Oregon Drivers License and possess reliable transportation to and from the shop each work day. Worker must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to work and communicate clearly with customers, manager, and other employees. A landscape maintenance worker must have full range of motion and mobility in upper and lower body, be able to reach over their head and work in various positions including, but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time. Worker must also lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete job tasks and lift 50 pounds (not every day, or all that often, but it will be necessary from time to time). Worker must also be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions all day. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work outside, be physically fit and have a great attitude.
