Spartan Truck Co. is looking for energetic & skilled team player to join the Spartan team at the Casa Grande, Arizona facility. The position is scheduled 4/10s – that is four workdays each week – 10 hours each workday. Visit our website www.SpartanTruck.com Essential Duties • Assist in assembling refuse (trash) truck body chassis and components • Specialist in hydraulics: installing, troubleshooting & repairing the trucks’ hydraulic system • Safety Champion – commit to workplace safety • Other tasks as assigned in a production worksite Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. General skills include: • Must have at least three years of mechanical experience • Must have at least three years in working with hydraulics • Must be mechanical inclined • Valued team player • Strong work ethic • Must have shop tools Education and/or Experience • High school diploma (or associate degree is preferred, but not required) • At least two years related experience in a manufacturing environment working in a mechanical/assembler capacity Language Skills • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group to customers, clients and other employees. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills • Basic math skills. Reasoning Ability • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
