This single combines her sultry soul, smooth pop style with the stylings of Senegalese producer Tukkiman to create a sound you’ve not heard before. Her love of music began at an early age. She started singing in the church choir and began singing at church weddings when she was 12. Her passion for music never left, but evolved. She studied music engineering in college and moved to Chicago to intern at a local recording studio. She sang back-up for the Indie-Pop group, My My My and fronted the local blues band Buddy Damen. While being a part of Buddy Damen, She knew she wanted to break out and break the mold with a new sound. Take Your Time is her first solo single off her upcoming EP Cassandra Lynn (due out in late Spring) Take Your Time combines sultry soulful melodies soaring over beats influenced by reggae, rock, pop, and African rhythms.
