We are a San Diego, CA based business that is growing and needs good shop help. Southwest Mobile Storage is looking for a Yard assistant, general Laborers/Grinder. If you are the right fit for us, you will join a shop team with great communication, teamwork and very busy. Want your day to be filled with independent work while enjoying the outdoors? Our general labor team members are self-disciplined and highly motivated because they work with minimal supervision. Your job will be to care for the portable storage products and general repairs at the branch locations. You’ll make sure they’re clean, functioning properly and ready to be rented to our customers. Your day could include: Checking A/C if applicable Sweeping and hosing Replacing tile or epoxy flooring Repairing drywall holes Cleaning windows, blinds, doors, floors, and walls Replacing light bulbs, locks, blinds, door handles, etc. Painting Minor welding Minor electric Any needed repairs for customer units in the field You must be able to lift 50 pounds, work outside, be reliable, assemble/disassemble structures. You will need knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools including grinding and saw cutting. We give you a reliable schedule Mondays through Fridays with an occasional Saturday sprinkled in the mix. This position comes with competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for overtime. This job requires someone that wants to work hard, and all work is outside in all conditions throughout the year. You will be required to do grinding on containers and clean offices. Why work for us?
