Position: Private Recreation Center Weekend Staff Position (Training Provided) Compensation: $20 hourly + Fuel supplement per shift worked + 401K Available Starting Hours: Saturday 8am-4PM or Party Booking Time Sunday 8am-4PM or Party Booking Time Monday (available hours, but not required) Extra Shift(s) may be available with advance notice Perfect for those seeking additional income. Facility Description: The club is a private members only recreational facility that belongs to The Summit at Palisades Highlands Homeowners Association. The facility is located in the Palisades Highlands part of Pacific Palisades. Job Duties: (Includes training) • This position is an entry-level, task-oriented position that assists with the general operation and maintenance of the Summit Club facility. • Your primary function will be one of maintaining the facility through cleaning, restocking and inspections. • A daily schedule of required janitorial tasks is provided with a timeline to be completed during your shift. The duties include, but are not limited to the cleaning of the clubhouse, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis courts, fitness room, bathrooms, walkways, parking lot, and deck areas etc • You will learn and enforce the policies/rules that govern the facility. • You will conduct routine facility inspections and document general usage and issues related to maintenance and safety. • You will assist with minor maintenance items. • You will Interface with members, verify membership status, and be a support person to help facilitate with prearranged community events. Primary Candidate Qualifications: • Able to work independently without supervision. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Have reliable transportation. o We are located 4 miles up a mountain, you need to have reliable transportation to be timely, and leave in the event of an emergency. • Preferably live within a 15–20-mile radius of The Summit Club. • Able to lift 30-50 pounds weight when needed. • Able to independently read and follow detailed instructions. • Able to independently read, follow and incorporate safety precautions without supervision. • Able to independently use and work safely with chemicals including bleach and other cleaning supplies. • Have valid First Aid & CPR certification.
