We have all had the experience of hearing a song and instantly being transported to another time, but have you seen music's effect on the memory and function of people suffering from dementia and cognitive decline? It's incredible! (Check out the documentary "Alive Inside!") We are a band that has come together to visit assisted living centers in Marin and play 40 minute sets once in a while. We meet once a week on Wednesdays, for about 2 hours. We play top hits from the 40s-70s because those are the songs that are most likely to trigger the memories of our audience.
