Yea we sent oil to China. Here's a couple things to help clear up any confusion: We sold them the oil so they wouldn't buy it from Russia. Yes we have an oil reserve. And yes Joe did release some a couple of months ago to help ease the price of oil which in turn would lower the gas prices. However the oil companies then explained that the price of oil isn't what's causing the high prices. It's because they shut down the majority of their refineries and it would take months to restart them and their need to satisfy investors and maximize profit (yes they did say this). So any additional "release" from the strategic oil reserves would literally do nothing to the price of gas. So please do some research before you type. Re Reserve oil sent to China? Biden had some of it released and just under 1 million barrels were sold to China all the while we were told it was being sold to US refiners for the taxpayers benefit. The curse nt level of stupidity among CL posters is alarming. Our nation is much dumber than I would like to admit. Biden does not con troll where oil companies sell their oil. We have a free market enterprise system in America. Chevron, Shell, BP, etc. see our oil to the highest bidder. You can try to blame Biden for this if you like, but you look like an idiot in doing so... Oil companies control how much oil is extracted from the ground. They control, how much oil is sold domestically. They control the prices. Not only do they control these things, but they collude with each other to maximize profits. Oil companies are the enemy regardless of which side of the aisle you sit on.
