Hello Oakland Musicians: The pandemic uprooted my current project, and I'm looking to start something new. The general idea is to play funk instrumentals for clubs, restaurants and private parties. Most of these will be covers (think James Brown, Marvin Gaye) but open to originals if they are on par with the covers. I am a 34 year old drummer looking for guitar, bass, and keyboard players in their 30's or 40's. We need people who enjoy playing their instrument (not just in it for gig money) and we would practice once a week.
