GAF is North America's Largest Roofing Manufacturer and now offering FREE & PAID training to anyone interested in starting a career in the roofing industry Class begins July 26th through the 29th and will take place at the Greater Michigan Construction Academy 7730 W. Wackerly St. Midland, Michigan 48642 The GAF Roofing Academy provides a 1-week training in residential roofing with the purpose to place graduates into a career in roofing with one of its local GAF Certified Roofing Contractors. Graduates of the Roofing Academy receive: - GAF Roofing Academy Certification -OSHA 10 Safety Certification -Completion of the program signals to roofing employers that the graduates have the proper entry-level skills for a roofing installation/sales job. -Immediate opportunity for employment and GAF Certified Contractors Program Details: -This program will focus on teaching the basics of residential roofing and water protection -The graduates of the class will have the knowledge and skills to enter into the roofing industry. -Graduates will receive a certificate of completion as a GAF Roofing Academy Certified Graduate. -Upon Completion, graduates will have the opportunity to interview with our certified contractors and employers in the area for full-time employment. Placement in a new roofing career is free to all Roofing Academy Graduates. -Transportation to and from training facility is the responsibility of the attendee, and all attendees must be able to lift 40lbs. - $250 stipend will be paid to attendees upon completion of training. -Graduates will be provided a set of basic roofing hand tools for the entirety of the training. If graduate proves employment in Roofing industry following training, GAF will reward a $200 Home Depot gift card for personal tools -Light breakfast and lunch provided each day.
