Description
I have four young shaft tails to rehome. (Finches) I removed them from their parents cage about a week ago.
Their beaks have still not colored up yet.
I believe there are two females and two males. I’m not 100% sure on that because it’s difficult to tell with their markings however one is definitely a female and I believe there’s another one that is also female. The parents are included in one of the photographs but are not for sale.
The mother is a fawn. That is a tan color mutation. This is a recessive gene which means their offspring (which are these 4 young shafttails) can have babies that are of this color mutation. So you would have a 50-50 chance of getting fawn shafttails like their mother.
I am asking $75 each and that is firm. If you would like more than one please let me know and I will give you a lower price but if you just want one of them they are 75 each.
These are small finches and they are very active. They do need room to fly. The males are the only ones that make a sound and they make a whistling sound occasionally that sounds like a toy laser gun “pew pew”. It’s very cute.
Please email me if you’re interested with a time and place where we can meet. It needs to be a public place and not after dark. They will not come with a cage so you will need to bring your own cage. I will have them in a cage and can transfer them to your cage once you take a look at them. I am in the Duncan area and I can meet in or around Duncan but not too far out of my area.
