The African American Police League in partnership with the Toledo Opera and the Toledo Police Museum is hosting a reception to promote the upcoming opera, Blue, which chronicles the story of a modern-day black family whose father is a police officer. The event will also highlight two very important projects sponsored by the League, our Oral History Project and Recruitment and Mentoring program. This is all made possible by the Safety and Justice Challenge grant awarded to the League by the Board of Lucas County Commissioners.
