Last week a girl who dropped her cell phone near the pier was walking around downtown on 1st Street desperately seeking a way to get her phone from between the large rocks at the base of the pier. I offered to let her use my "grabber" if she would promise to bring it back. She assured me that she would. I explained that, as a senior, I needed it and used it every day. She was so happy for the loan, said it was perfect and promised to bring it right back. Sadly she did not. Maybe she tried to find me but couldn't. I am in the same store every day and if she were just visiting our town might not have remembered what store she was in.
If anyone knows where it is or who the young lady is that took it, I would appreciate a contact. It was a special grabber, not the run-of-the-mill type, that could pick a dime up off the floor but also support lifting up a heavy item from an upper shelf.
Thank you.
