The symposium will focus on addressing the eight areas of wellness for women which are mental, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual wellness. The event will open with a plenary session providing legislative updates, updates regarding infant and maternal mortality, an overview of research findings from examining labor and care during COVID, the benefits of homeopathic treatment, addressing the impact of overturning Roe v. Wade and updates on missing Black women and girls. After the plenary session, attendees will have the opportunity to attend various breakout sessions and to meet Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls, Congresswoman Robin Kelly.
