** DISCLAIMER : This is a farm sanctuary to over 185 animals and 16 different species. YES, there's poop, mud, noises, funky smells and other animal behaviors that take place. Please anticipate, plan and prepare accordingly.DON'T FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS, YOU WILL GET LOST.Please follow the detailed directions and map below. 1. Starting at the ABC Store in the heart of Kapaa, take Kukui St. (581) up the hill towards the skate park. Kukui turns into Olohena Rd. Go straight, through the round about, and continue up the hill. 2. When you come to the fork in the road (3 way intersection) just passed Kapaa Middle School, continue straight UP the hill. Olohena turns into Kaapuni Rd. after you pass the fork. 3. You will continue up Kaapuni Rd. About 1.3mi from the round about, you will make a LEFT at the bottom of a downhill "S" curve. Look for our sign YOGA ON THE FARM on your left. You may see signs saying "ROAD CLOSED" but it is ok to enter. 4. Follow this winding road through the trees until you end at a 3 way intersection overlooking a large pond. We have another sign here, turn RIGHT. 5. Follow road over ravine bridge. Turn on the 2nd RIGHT where you see KAEF sign. 6. Follow this road down until you find our farm! We are on your RIGHT clearly marked with signs. With the spirit of Ho’opono (to make proper), programs are designed to provide interaction, stewardship and education of symbiotic relationships between animals, land and people. The lives of youth at risk, kupuna (elders), inmates, and our community are then greatly enriched. The aloha in this rescue ohana is abundant, and Samsati Yoga is proud to partner with such a beautiful cause. EXPERIENCEYoga at Kauai Animal Education Center is a heart project. KAEC is the ONLY farm animal rescue on Kauai, with a mission to create a safe space for the animals + community to learn, heal, and grow together. After an hour yoga practice, we end with meditation + sound healing. When your eyes reopen, you can really SEE the beauty + happy animals around you. You have a 15 minute window after class to say good morning to the animals with belly scratches + pets <3 You leave with a deeper connection to yourself, the island, the animals + each other... along with the satisfaction that your yoga practice supported a wonderful cause on Kauai.
