Sky Power Solar is a San Ramon based solar installation company for the last 20 years and in immediate need of solar project manager both experienced and entry level for permanent full time employment. Solar Project Manager: Ideal candidate is someone located in the bay area that has a strong background in construction, solar, battery, electrical or other relevant experience. This position is hands-on and requires ACTIVE daily management and leadership of the projects. The person in this position must feel comfortable working with a variety of personalities and have the skill set to manage, motivate and communicate with all the members of the team, including installation crews, sub-contractors, vendors, as well as directly with customers. Problem solving, good verbal and written communication, the ability to prioritize daily tasks and the willingness and ability to address and resolve issues in a timely, mutually beneficial and calm professional manner are all essential skills that a person in this position must have. Applicants must possess a valid California Driver's license with a clean record. The solar industry will be expanding rapidly over the course of the next few years, and this candidate must have a passion for the chance to learn the most cutting edge technologies directly under the tutelage of the owner (who will be the direct supervisor). The key responsibilities of this position include: • The Project Manager is the key point of contact between the sales and the client and is responsible for preparation of project plans, management of work in progress, schedules, management of the coordination of the project engineering and technical support staff and management of project scope. • Maintaining regular, comprehensive and timely communications with customers regarding job status; • Coordinating with vendors • Supervision of and coordination with the on site installation team; • Coordination of communication within our organization to ensure timely job progress and completion • Ensuring complete customer satisfaction with our quality products and timely communication. A good driving record is a must. • Requires general knowledge of project management and preferred knowledge of electrical, renewable energy, utility power projects, including strong familiarity with other disciplines required for completion of such projects, including Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Services, Surveying and Geomatics, and Permitting. • Apply knowledge of renewable energy systems, including solar photovoltaic (PV) Arrays, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), standby power, and knowledge of associated microgrid design principles. The position includes all tasks after sale through to Permission to operate Location: San Ramon Schedule: Full-time M-F Full benefits. All Major paid holidays 401k, match, Profit sharing.
